The question is – how do you prepare and have the right mindset ??
Here are some valuable tips from the University of Cape Town published in 2019
1. GET ENOUGH SLEEP – Sleep builds memory. Get 7-8 hours, especially the night
before the exam. Avoid late night cramming
2. STUDY SPACE – it should be comfortable and calming. Avoid social media and the
use of cell phones
3. STUDY GROUPS- can be effective and provide answers by sharing ideas
4. EXPLAIN CONCEPTS – take turns to explain difficult concepts to make them more
understandable for all
5. PRACTICE PAST EXAM PAPERS – Mark yourself strictly
6. REGULAR BREAKS AND EXERCISE – 5-10 minutes every 90 minutes . A brisk short
walk outside will provide more oxygen to the brain to resume studying.
7. SNACK ON HEALTHY FOOD – Take care of your body and mind. Eat more fish,
walnuts and dark chocolate. Avoid sugary foods which will cause an energy slump.
8. PLAN YOUR EXAM DAY- Drink water and take extra pens and pencils with you. Dress
comfortably and keep warm.
9. TAKE DEEP BREATHS – Take 5 minutes in the morning to focus on your breathing.
Deep breaths will increase your oxygen supply and sharpen your focus
10. READ THROUGH THE EXAM PAPER BEFORE STARTING TO WRITE – this will benefit
you and your mind will process what you are reading and it will help you to plan your
time more efficiently.
Start your revision early, and you will feel less stressed and anxious.
Finally, support your body with nutritional supplements that enhance focus and concentration.
With this in mind ; we highly recommend a product called MINDSET . It has been tried and
tested for more than two decades. Many students testify to its results, for focus ,concentration
and memory recall.
